Lieutenant-Colonel Malone made one long journal entry covering events from the 9th of June 1915 until the 24th of July 1915.  I have taken excerpts from it to cover this time period.

"...Today at midday, the Turks discharged a mine opposition our No. 4 sub post, close to their own trenches.  We think they got scared and let off prematurely.  They have in 2 months fired 3 mines, we - 28!  Brilliant weather all thro'.  Hot, but except at about 3 to 7 pm, a nice northerly breeze.  Many of the men go about with only shorts, boots and socks and hats - not forgetting identity disc..."
